Setting up a logistics email for Wilson
What is the logistics email used for?
Your logistics email is the email address Wilson will use to send and receive messages on your behalf. Think of it as Wilson’s digital desk — it’s where he’ll:
Receive shipment requests (from your team, systems, or documents)
Send quotes and booking confirmations to carriers
Share pickup details with shippers and delivery details with consignees
Send tracking updates and shipment status notifications to your team
This allows Wilson to coordinate freight the same way a human would — by email — without changing how your team or partners work.
Why do I need to create one?
To give Wilson access to your shipping workflows, we need to set up a dedicated inbox where all freight-related communication can happen. This keeps things organized and lets Wilson operate without interrupting other business functions or emails in your main inbox.
Creating a separate email helps:
Keep communication professional and consistent (e.g., logistics@yourcompany.com)
Prevent confusion with other internal messages
Easily manage or forward logistics emails to multiple team members if needed
How to create a new email
Here are a few quick-start options depending on your email provider:
Before you get started:
Creating a new email address can only be done by a Google Workspace Admin user. A company Admin or IT team can help create the email if you do not have access.
Make sure you have the new email + password once it's created, as you'll need this to connect to it your Cartage account
.
